🕯️ 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐈𝐃𝐒 𝐂𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐥𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐌𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 ❤️

Last May 20, 2026, Alabel Peer Educators Inc. was invited by the Red Ribbon Hub to take part in the celebration of the International AIDS Candlelight Memorial held at Sarangani Provincial Hospital together with partner organization IDEALS Inc.

The activity gathered healthcare workers, advocates, and community members in remembrance, awareness, and hope for everyone affected by HIV and AIDS.

The program formally opened with the Opening Remarks of Ms. Elvira R. Morales, RN, MAN, Red Ribbon Hub Manager, followed by an inspiring message from Dr. Aileen M. Brion, MD, MBA-HA, Chief of Hospital of Sarangani Provincial Hospital, who emphasized the importance of compassion, unity, and continued awareness in addressing HIV and AIDS in the community.

The rationale of the activity was presented by Joey P. Babayen-on, RN, HACT Nurse, highlighting the importance of remembering lives lost, supporting people living with HIV, and strengthening collective efforts toward ending stigma and discrimination.

The celebration concluded with the Closing Remarks of Dr. Lormie B. Casilan, HACT Physician, encouraging everyone to continue becoming instruments of awareness, acceptance, and hope.

Together, we light candles not only to remember, but also to inspire action, understanding, and love for every individual affected by HIV and AIDS. 🕯️❤️

🕯️ 𝐔𝐍𝐈𝐓𝐄𝐃 𝐈𝐍 𝐑𝐄𝐌𝐄𝐌𝐁𝐑𝐀𝐍𝐂𝐄, 𝐔𝐍𝐈𝐓𝐄𝐃 𝐈𝐍 𝐇𝐎𝐏𝐄 ❤️

The 2026 International AIDS Candlelight Memorial was successfully held last May 17, 2026, Sunday at 5:00 PM at Tokawal Covered Court through the collective efforts of SK Baluntay, SK Tokawal, and SK Domolok.

The activity became a meaningful gathering of remembrance, awareness, and solidarity for everyone affected by HIV and AIDS. Present during the celebration were Donna H. Labaniego-Khan, Municipal Head Nurse, Mr. Mark James Jabines, RN, MAN, together with Red Ribbon Hub, Joey P. Babayen-on, RN, Red Ribbon Hub, HACT Manager-on, and community partners who continuously support HIV awareness, education, and advocacy in the municipality.

Through the lighting of candles and shared messages of hope, the community was reminded that every life matters, every story deserves to be heard, and stigma has no place in building a healthier and more compassionate society. 🕯️❤️

Day 3 of the A PEER TAYO! Peer Educators’ Training was a celebration of learning, growth, and the friendships built throughout the three-day journey.

The participants were recognized for their active participation and completion of the training, marking an important milestone as they begin their journey as peer educators in the community. The day was also filled with heartfelt messages from guests and facilitators who encouraged the youth to continue becoming positive influences and safe spaces for fellow young people.

As the training ended, the participants carried home not only new knowledge and experiences, but also stronger confidence, meaningful connections, and a renewed passion to serve and inspire others.

Day 2 of the A PEER TAYO! Peer Educators’ Training was filled with honest conversations, shared experiences, and meaningful learning. Through interactive activities, workshops, and role-playing sessions, the participants learned in a way that was fun, relatable, and easy to understand. 🌱

The discussions focused on teenage pregnancy, responsibility and reproduction, together with the Usapang Barkadahan session where the youth were given a safe space to ask questions, express their thoughts, and learn from one another without fear of judgment.

More than just gaining knowledge, the day became an opportunity to build confidence, strengthen friendships, and remind the youth that their voices, choices, and experiences matter. 💙

Day 1 of the A PEER TAYO! Peer Educators’ Training in Paraiso, Alabel was filled with learning, sharing, and meaningful conversations as young people came together to begin their journey as future peer educators. 🌱

The participants explored topics such as Orientation on Peer Education, PEACH PRESS on responsible netizenship, Changing Body, Changing Lives about puberty, Republic Act 11596 and Republic Act 11166, and awareness on STI, HIV, and AIDS. Through interactive activities, workshops, and open discussions, the youth were encouraged to ask questions, share their thoughts, and learn from one another in a safe and welcoming space.

More than gaining knowledge, the day became an opportunity to build confidence, friendship, and a stronger sense of responsibility as young leaders in the community. 💙

𝐀 𝐏𝐄𝐄𝐑 𝐓𝐀𝐘𝐎: 𝐃𝐚𝐲 3 – 𝐂𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐆𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐭𝐡 & 𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐔𝐩 𝐓𝐨𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 🌟

Day 3 of the A Peer Tayo Peer Educators’ Training marked the roll out of participants from different sitios in Datal Anggas, including Salimama, Kisoy, and Almungan. The participants were divided into three groups, with 20 members each, to strengthen teamwork and prepare them for their roles in their respective communities.

The day was also highlighted by inspiring messages from Punong Barangay Franklin Baan, SK Chairperson Melchor Gulada, Save the Children Program Volunteer Ms. Shaina Aniscal, and Municipal Head Nurse Mark James Jabines, RN, MAN, BHS Nurse assigned in Datal Anggas Nolan Nerpiol, RN, who encouraged the youth to continue leading and serving with purpose.

The activity concluded with the awarding of certificates of completion and the election of officers, marking both an achievement and a new beginning for these young peer educators as they step forward to make a difference in their community.

𝘼 𝙋𝙀𝙀𝙍 𝙏𝘼𝙔𝙊: 𝙎𝙩𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙜𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙍𝙚𝙨𝙥𝙤𝙣𝙨𝙞𝙗𝙡𝙚 𝙔𝙤𝙪𝙩𝙝 & 𝙎𝙖𝙛𝙚 𝙎𝙥𝙖𝙘𝙚𝙨

Day 2 at Datal Anggas focused on Modules 5 to 6, featuring PEACH Press on being responsible netizens and the Usapang Barkadahan session. Through interactive activities, role-playing, and workshops, participants learned in a fun and engaging way while openly sharing their thoughts and experiences.

The day also introduced the RA 11596 and RA 11166 law, Youth-Friendly Adolescent Facility at the Barangay Health Station and the services it offers to support the health and well-being of young people. It became a space where the youth felt comfortable asking questions, learning, and understanding where they can seek help when needed.

Overall, it was a meaningful day of learning, connection, and growth helping the participants become more responsible both online and in their community. 💙

The Peer Educators’ Training in Datal Anggas gathered youth leaders eager to learn and serve their community. With the support of SK Chairperson Melchor Gulada, the activity created a space where the youth felt encouraged and empowered to take part. Joining them was Rebecca Tuwa, a teacher from Ulo Latian and a trained peer educator since 2018, who generously shared her knowledge and experiences with the participants.

Day 1 focused on lectures and interactive workshops covering Modules 1 to 4, where participants gained essential knowledge and actively engaged in discussions. It was a great start in preparing them to become confident and effective peer educators.

Kabataan ng Datal Anggas, sama-sama tayong magtipon para sa A PEER TAYO! Peer Educators’ Training ngayong May 4–6, 2026!

Sa loob ng tatlong araw, magkakaroon tayo ng pagkakataon na matuto, magbahagi ng karanasan, bumuo ng pagkakaibigan, at higit sa lahat maging isang kabataang handang maging boses ng kalusugan sa ating komunidad.

Asahan ang makabuluhang talakayan, interactive workshops, at fun learning sessions na magpapalakas ng ating kaalaman at kumpiyansa upang maging epektibong peer educators sa Barangay Datal Anggas.
