The Pambayang Pederasyon ng mga Sangguniang Kabataan (PPSK) of Alabel through its Presiding Officer, Hon. Al Hannecca Pulalon-Andaya, LPT, successfully conducted its Regular Meeting for the month of August for Calendar Year 2026 on August 28, 2026 at Barangay Poblacion, Alabel, Sarangani Province.
The meeting brought together SK Chairpersons to discuss significant matters concerning the youth sector and strengthen collective efforts toward meaningful youth governance, participation, and community development.
One of the highlights of the meeting was the formal recognition of the newly installed SK Chairperson of Barangay New Canaan, Hon. Irish Balando, who assumed the position following the former SK Chairperson, Hon. Jessa Mae Cabca. The PPSK Alabel warmly welcomed Hon. Balando to the federation and expressed its support as she takes on the responsibility of serving and representing the youth of Barangay New Canaan.
Among the key matters discussed was the upcoming province-wide youth activity, ๐๐ฎ๐ฐ๐๐ง ๐ง๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ญ๐๐๐ง๐ ๐๐๐ซ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐ง ๐ฐ๐ก๐ข๐๐ก ๐ฐ๐ข๐ฅ๐ฅ ๐๐ ๐ก๐๐ฅ๐ ๐จ๐ง ๐๐ฎ๐ ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ญ ๐๐, ๐๐๐๐, ๐๐ญ ๐๐๐ซ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐ฒ ๐๐๐๐จ๐ฅ, ๐๐ฅ๐๐๐๐ฅ. The activity will gather young people in celebration of their voices, talents, leadership, and active participation in building stronger communities.
The SK Chairpersons also successfully discussed the proposed establishment of a ๐๐จ๐ฎ๐ญ๐ก-๐ฅ๐๐ ๐๐จ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ฎ๐ง๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ ๐๐๐ ๐๐ญ๐๐๐ฅ๐ ๐๐๐ซ๐๐๐ง ๐ข๐ง ๐ญ๐ก๐ ๐๐๐ซ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐ฒ๐ฌ ๐จ๐ ๐๐ฅ๐๐๐๐ฅ. The initiative aims to actively engage young people in agriculture, food production, environmental stewardship, and community development, while providing them with meaningful opportunities to learn and participate in sustainable agricultural practices.
Another important agenda was the ๐๐ ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ฌ๐ฌ๐๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ฆ๐๐ง๐ญ, emphasizing the importance of effective governance, transparency, proper documentation, accountability, and continuous improvement in the implementation of SK programs and projects.
The PPSK also discussed the youth participation in the upcoming ๐๐๐ญ๐ก ๐๐๐ฌ๐๐๐ฒ๐๐๐ง ๐
๐๐ฌ๐ญ๐ข๐ฏ๐๐ฅ ๐ญ๐ก๐๐ญ ๐ฐ๐ข๐ฅ๐ฅ ๐๐จ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐๐ง๐๐ ๐จ๐ง ๐๐๐ฉ๐ญ๐๐ฆ๐๐๐ซ ๐๐, ๐๐๐๐ in support of the Local Government Unit of Alabel, headed by Local Chief Executive Hon. Lilibeth Jabilles Salarda, MPA. The active involvement of the youth reflects their commitment to becoming meaningful partners in promoting Alabelโs culture, unity, development, and community-building efforts.
Adding significance to the meeting, Four (4) resolutions commending outstanding Alabelian youth were also approved, recognizing their achievements, contributions, and positive impact in their respective fields.
Through continued collaboration, meaningful discussions, and collective action, the PPSK Alabel remains committed to advancing programs that empower young peopleโnot only as beneficiaries of development, but as active partners and leaders in building a better Alabel.
