Another meaningful day of learning, connection, and youth empowerment as we celebrated Linggo ng Kabataan 2026 and the 58th Anniversary of Barangay Pag-asa through KaPEACEtahan sa Pag-asa 2026! 💚🤝

Our heartfelt gratitude to Hon. Mayor Lilibeth J. Salarda, MPA and Municipal Administrator Vic Paul M. Salarda, MPA for their unwavering support and commitment to empowering the youth.

To SK Chairperson Jordan Mike Merosa and the SK Council, and to Brgy. Captain Rose Mae Orlino and the Barangay Council, together with the BHWs, BNS, and barangay staff, thank you for your invaluable support and cooperation in making this activity a success. 🙌

We are also grateful to Mahintana Foundation, Inc., represented by Sir Mark Gonzales, together with child representatives Melody, Junirose, and Nicel, for sharing meaningful discussions on Children’s Rights and Child, Early and Forced Marriage and Union (CEFMU). Your voices and insights help create a safer and more informed community for our young people. 💜

A special thank you to our health workers, Sir Zyril Dequito, RN and Ma’am Gina Coliao, RM, for generously sharing your knowledge and insights on Anti-Drug Awareness and the Early Pregnancy Prevention Program.

To all the participants, facilitators, volunteers, and everyone who contributed their time and effort, thank you for being part of this successful celebration. Together, we continue to build a community where young people are informed, empowered, heard, and actively involved in creating peace.

𝐂𝐀𝐋𝐋 𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝐀𝐏𝐏𝐋𝐈𝐂𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐒: 𝐌𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐚𝐥 𝐉𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐨𝐫 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐬 (𝐌𝐉𝐎) 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔

In celebration of Linggo ng Kabataan 2026, with the theme “𝘿𝙞𝙛𝙛𝙚𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝘾𝙤𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙭𝙩𝙨, 𝘾𝙤𝙢𝙢𝙤𝙣 𝘼𝙨𝙥𝙞𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨,” the Municipality of Alabel, through the Municipal Youth Development Office and the SK Municipal Federation, proudly opens applications for the 2026 Municipal Junior Officials (MJO) Program!

This is your chance to step into the shoes of our local leaders, as a Junior Municipal Mayor, Vice Mayor, SB Member, or Department Head, and actively take part in shaping our community.

𝐖𝐇𝐀𝐓 𝐈𝐒 𝐌𝐉𝐎 𝐏𝐑𝐎𝐆𝐑𝐀𝐌?
The MJO Program is a leadership simulation activity designed to empower young individuals by assigning them to mirror municipal government positions—such as Junior Municipal Mayor, Vice Mayor, SB Member, or Department Head—for one week. This initiative is in line with Republic Act No. 10742 or the SK Reform Act of 2015, which promotes meaningful youth participation in governance.

𝐄𝐋𝐈𝐆𝐈𝐁𝐈𝐋𝐈𝐓𝐘 𝐂𝐑𝐈𝐓𝐄𝐑𝐈𝐀:
1. Must be a bona fide resident of Alabel;
2. Must be 15–24 years old;
3. Must be actively involved in school, youth, or community organizations;
4. Must have no pending criminal cases or community disciplinary actions;
5. Must not have joined the Provincial Junior Officials (PJO) and Municipal Junior officials (MJO) from the previous years;
5. Must possess leadership potential, good communication skills, and good moral character; and
6. Must be available during Linggo ng Kabataan 2026 (August 10–14, 2026).

The 𝐒𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐢 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐀𝐜𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐦𝐲 (𝐒𝐘𝐋𝐀) is officially back!

The Provincial Government of Sarangani, through the Provincial Youth Development Office (PYDO), proudly brings back the 𝐒𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐢 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐀𝐜𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐦𝐲 (𝐒𝐘𝐋𝐀)—a flagship youth leadership formation program dedicated to developing the next generation of community leaders, changemakers, policy advocates, and development partners.

For years, SYLA has served as a platform where young Sarangans are challenged not only to learn about leadership, but to understand their communities, recognize the issues that matter, turn ideas into solutions, and lead with purpose.
