๐๐ YES CAMP 2025: Three Days of Learning, Unity, and Environmental Action! ๐๐
The Youth for Environment in Schools Organization (YES-O) successfully held its YES Camp 2025, a three-day camp filled with fun, learning, and teamwork that inspired students to care more deeply for the environment. ๐ฑ
Before the activities began, the event officially opened with the preliminaries, which included the Prayer, National Anthem, SDO I Hymn, and Pangasinan Hymn. The program then continued with the Welcome Remarks by Maโam Elenida N. Nava, YES-O Adviser, followed by an Inspirational Message delivered by Sir Rene C. Argaรฑoza, Head Teacher III. The Orientation was facilitated by Sir Michael V. Mangoba, Science Coordinator. His presence and guidance energized the participants throughout the camp. The opening ceremony also featured the CAMP SET-UP, SALO-SALO, CAMPFIRE, and SCI-SKIT, marking the beginning of an exciting three-day journey. ๐ฅ๐ช
โจ Day 1 began with excitement as campers arrived, set up their tents, and prepared for their first night together. In the afternoon, the program was hosted by Cristine Oxciano and Jeffrey Cancino, who kept the event lively and engaging as campers settled into their groups and activities. As the sun set, everyone gathered for dinner and the much-awaited campfire ceremony, led and emceed by YES-O President April Mae P. Prado and YES-O Vice President Jona Baraquio, together with Science Teachers Sir John Paul S. Latoja and Maโam Jonaliza Buar, and Science Coordinator Sir Michael V. Mangoba. The campfire served as a symbol of unity and passion for nature. ๐ฅ
After lighting the fire, each team โ Eco Warriors, Climate Crusaders, Earth Defenders, and Gaiardians โ proudly presented their yells, showing creativity, spirit, and teamwork. Later that evening, everyone practiced for their Envi-Science Skit, filling the night with laughter and excitement. It was a perfect start that built friendship and enthusiasm for the days ahead. ๐
๐ Day 2 started early with a lively morning exercise led by the YES-O officers. After breakfast, campers attended an educational talk about STEM, discussed by Sir John Paul S. Latoja, YES-O Co-Adviser. Officers roamed around to check attendance and picked up trash, promoting discipline and environmental care. The next discussion was about Climate Change, delivered by Maโam Edna B. Naron, Principal II, reminding everyone of their vital role in protecting the Earth. ๐ Throughout the day, Sir Michael V. Mangoba, our ever-energetic Science Coordinator, served as the emcee, keeping the program lively, organized, and full of spirit from start to finish. ๐ค
After lunch, students worked on creative activities such as preparing team banners, heroic drawings, photo tributes, and their โsad and gladโ reflections. The afternoon continued with exciting YES-O games at eight stations, where each team showed cooperation and determination to earn points. Laughter, cheers, and teamwork filled the air. As night fell, everyone gathered for the much-awaited Mr. & Ms. Eco Trashionista 2025, judged by guests from other schools. The contestants proudly showcased their costumes made from recycled materials such as papers, newspapers, coupons, and paper plates, proving that creativity and teamwork can turn simple materials into stunning works of art. ๐ฟ๐โจ
โ๏ธ Day 3 began with breakfast followed by a clean-up drive, where each team was assigned to clean specific areas of the school. It was a simple but meaningful act that showed teamwork and care for the environment. After cleaning, everyone gathered in the quadrangle where sub-camp leaders shared their experiences and realizations from the three-day camp. ๐ฌ Once again, Sir Michael V. Mangoba served as the emcee, guiding the program smoothly and making sure the last day ended with smiles and appreciation. ๐ค
The event concluded with the closing remarks from YES-O President April Mae P. Prado, who expressed her gratitude to everyone who made the camp a memorable success. Certificates and awards were then presented to the winning teams and individuals. ๐
After the program, some YES-O officers โ April Mae P. Prado, Ryzzamae Sanchez, Rhonnamae Palisoc, and Rhia Fe P. Tolentino โ stayed behind to help clean the stage, remove decorations, and return materials properly, showing true dedication and leadership. ๐พ
Behind the success of this event were the hardworking people who prepared our meals with love and care โ Maโam Violeta Versoza, Maโam Jonaliza Buar, and Maโam Elenida Nava, together with their helpers. ๐ฒ Their effort and support ensured that everyone had the energy to enjoy and participate throughout the camp. ๐
๐ YES Camp 2025 was more than just a camp โ it was a meaningful journey of learning, friendship, and environmental stewardship. Each activity reminded everyone that small actions, when done together, can make a big difference for our planet. ๐๐ฟ
