To our all our dedicated SK officials, passionate athletes, and valued stakeholders,
We recognize your hard work and dedication to our basketball tournament. Your commitment has not only brought excitement and unity to our community but also played a crucial role in its success. We sincerely appreciate your efforts.
However, in adherence to the ๐ข๐บ๐ป๐ถ๐ฏ๐๐ ๐๐น๐ฒ๐ฐ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป ๐๐ผ๐ฑ๐ฒ and the directives issued by the ๐๐ผ๐บ๐บ๐ถ๐๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป ๐ผ๐ป ๐๐น๐ฒ๐ฐ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป๐ (๐๐ข๐ ๐๐๐๐), we must temporarily postpone all SK-organized activities โ including our basketball tournament โ during the Election Ban period from ๐๐๐ซ๐๐ก ๐๐, ๐๐๐๐, ๐ญ๐จ ๐๐๐ฒ ๐๐, ๐๐๐๐.
๐๐๐ ๐๐ฅ ๐๐๐ฌ๐ข๐ฌ ๐๐จ๐ซ ๐๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ฉ๐๐ง๐ฌ๐ข๐จ๐ง:
๐๐๐๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐๐๐ (๐จ) ๐จ๐ ๐ญ๐ก๐ ๐๐ฆ๐ง๐ข๐๐ฎ๐ฌ ๐๐ฅ๐๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐๐จ๐๐ strictly prohibits using public funds, equipment, or facilities for any partisan political activity during the election period.
๐๐๐๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐๐๐ (๐๐) (๐) ๐จ๐ ๐ญ๐ก๐ ๐๐ฆ๐ง๐ข๐๐ฎ๐ฌ ๐๐ฅ๐๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐๐จ๐๐ explicitly prohibits the holding of sports competitions, fairs, or similar events on election day.
๐๐๐ข๐ ๐๐๐๐ ๐ฅ๐ฒ๐๐ผ๐น๐๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป ๐ก๐ผ. ๐ญ๐ญ๐ฌ๐ฒ๐ฌ, ๐ฆ๐ฒ๐ฐ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป ๐ฏ restricts the release, disbursement, or expenditure of public funds for social welfare projects without COMELEC authorization during the election period.
๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ฌ๐จ๐ฅ๐ฎ๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐๐จ. ๐๐๐๐๐, ๐๐๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐ bars the release of public funds for new public works projects unless for maintenance of existing infrastructure or emergency purposes.

๐ฒ๐บ๐ฝ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป, approved activities may proceed as long as they strictly follow the exemption guidelines.
We understand this may cause disappointment and inconvenience, but this temporary pause reflects our commitment to ensuring a fair, orderly, and transparent electoral process. Rest assured, the basketball tournament will resume immediately after the 2025 National and Local Elections.
