What a night to remember! So many first for us as ZONTIANS!
Last Sunday, December 10, 2025 we gathered at JBC Hotel in Junction Libertad, Abulug, Cagayan to mark the final day of the global 16Days of Activism campaign. The evening ended with a meaningful reflection as we were joined by 6 brave women survivors who courageously shared their personal stories of gender-based violence.
Reverend Pastor Julie Acloba shared heartfelt words of encouragement and inspiration urging our survivors to continue moving forward with strength and hope despite the trials they have faced.
On the other hand, Reverend Father Adel Agcaoili thru an audio visual presentation discussed how Machismo and Marianism contribute to the persistence of gender-based violence in our community.

The night also marked our very first Christmas Get Together as Zontians, filled with laughter, food and fun. And of course, no Christmas celebration is complete without a gift exchange among the Zisters! We had a good laugh when two Zisters ended up giving the same gifts - while another pair amusingly picked each other’s gifts.
Eight Birthday celebrants from November to December also got to enjoy their special day, as they were each presented with mini cakes by the Zisters in celebration of their natal day.

The Meat Processing Workshop in collaboration with the Local Government of Pamplona was held successfully last December 7, 2025 at Pamplona National School of Fisheries, Pamplona, Cagayan.
Fifty women from the Municipal Rural Improvement Club of Pamplona benefitted from the Meat Processing workshop given by Dra Yasmin Papa and VM Angelica Sampaga Fernandez, both Zontians.
The activity is part of the global campaign in the 16Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence. This workshop aims to help the marginalized women of our society to be financially independent by giving them training on Meat Processing specifically on Pork Tocino and Beef Tapa Making. By giving them skills, we are empowering these women to be financially independent and be a major decision maker with in their family and community.

The David M Puzon Memorial National
High School in Curva, Pamplona, Cagayan served as the venue for our Second Activity on the 16Days of Activism
Against Gender-Based Violence last December 3, 2025.
Dr Mei Mei C. Espinoza, Adolescent Medicine Specialist delivered an eye opening lecture on “Breaking the Silence: Intimate Partner Violence Among Adolescents and Young Adults”. Nearly 300 Grade 11 and 12 Students gained valuable insights on recognizing unhealthy relationship patterns and empowering themselves to pursue relationships free from abuse.
The Stone Painting Contest highlights the creativity and advocacy of the students.
Eighteen students participated in the THREE Contested Categories:
1)Most Creative
2)Most Visual Impact
3)Most Relevant to the Theme
Together, we continue to raise awareness, spark conversations and empower young people to stand against gender-based violence.

Despite the heavy rains, Orange Color flooded the RDE Building of Apayao College-Luna Campus for the Kick Off Program of the 16Days Of Activism Campaign Against Gender-Based Violence.
Joining us in this global campaign are the students and Faculty members of the Apayao State College thru the Gender and Development Office headed by Dr Rey Karl V. Arimas, our partner for today’s event; from the Apayao Provincial Prosecutors Office; Representatives from the PnP and HPG; Luna Womens’ Welfare Federation and the Drum and Lyre Of San Isidro Sur Elementary School added to the festivity of the affair.
The Pledge Wall showcased the commitment of the participants to Say NO Against All Forms of Gender- Based Violence.
