During the recently concluded PSABE Central Luzon Board of Trustees Meeting, the Board officially approved the conduct of Batch 2 to accommodate additional participants who were unable to secure a slot in the first offering.

𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐁𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚 || 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐀𝐠𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐁𝐢𝐨𝐬𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐬 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐫

In 2024, the City Government of Balanga enacted City Ordinance No. 24, Series of 2024, providing for the creation and formal institutionalization of various offices within the City Government, including the Office of the City Agricultural and Biosystems Engineer (OCABE). The establishment of OCABE formally institutionalized the City’s agricultural and biosystems engineering functions and strengthened its capacity to provide technical, engineering, and innovation support to the agriculture, food, forestry, aquatic, and related sectors. The institutionalization of the Office is consistent with the devolution of functions to local government units under the Mandanas-Garcia Ruling and supports the implementation of Republic Act No. 10915, or the “Philippine Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering Act of 2016,” which recognizes the essential role of agricultural and biosystems engineering services in agricultural and fishery modernization, food and water security, natural resource conservation, environmental protection, and related development objectives.

The Philippine Society of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineers (PSABE) Central Luzon Chapter is pleased to announce that the Training on Construction Supervision of Agricultural Buildings and Structures has been officially granted 7 CPD Points for Agricultural and Biosystems Engineers (ABE).

This training is designed to strengthen the competencies of ABE professionals in construction supervision, project monitoring, quality assurance and quality control, documentation, contract requirements, and the proper implementation of agricultural infrastructure projects.
