The IP Leaders Quarterly Meeting, led by the LGU and OMA, highlighted a shared commitment to strengthening a rights-based maternal and child health system in Abra de Ilogโensuring that no mother or child is left behind.
With Heart to Heart Foundation as a development partner, key initiatives were reinforced to improve access to essential health services, especially for women in remote communities:
โ Strengthened support systems through transportation and meal assistance
โ Promotion of the Halfway House as a safe pre-delivery facility
โ๏ธ Improving facility-based delivery services at Abra de Ilog Municipal Hospital (AMH), a recognized Mangyan-Friendly Hospital
โ Compliance with at least 8 antenatal care (ANC) visits
โ Pilot implementation of the IP Lane for faster and more respectful services
โ Timely birth registration to secure every childโs identity and rights
The meeting brought together key stakeholdersโfrom government offices to IP leadersโdemonstrating strong collaboration in protecting the health, rights, and dignity of mothers and children.
