Rest in Peace, Brother Cosmas Yagau🕊❤️
Condolence Message From the 2025 UPNG SRC President, Mr. Clinton Maliaba
On behalf of the Student Representative Council and the entire student body of the University of Papua New Guinea, I extend our deepest condolences and heartfelt sympathies to the families, relatives, and friends of the late Frederick Wambao and the late Cosmas Yagau.
Frederick, a dedicated final-year Earth Science (Geology) student from Ywuanamanda Village, Lauanda Council Ward, Aiyel Valley, was a true gem in his field of passionate, humble, and driven to contribute to our nation's development.
Cosmas from Madang, a brilliant final-year Law student, was a strong and promising legal mind, admired for his commitment to justice and his inspiring leadership among his peers.
Their untimely passing is not only a profound loss to the University of Papua New Guinea but to the entire nation. We have lost two bright stars, two future leaders who would have become invaluable assets to our country’s human resources and intellectual capital.
In this time of sorrow, we stand united with their hardworking parents, families, and loved ones. We share in your pain and pray that you find strength and comfort in knowing that their lives and dreams have left a lasting mark on all of us.
May their memories continue to inspire current and future students to strive for excellence, serve with integrity, and contribute meaningfully to society.
On behalf of all UPNG students, we honor their legacy and celebrate the impact they made in their short but meaningful lives.
May their souls rest in eternal peace 🕊️
