This day took us deeper—literally! As we showcased our national flag underwater, the goal was clear: promote scuba diving as a tool for marine conservation and unite countries to protect our marine ecosystems.

Mermaid Photoshoot for PADI Mermaid Course

Inspired by the tales of mythical mermaids, Our Miss Scuba PNG, Yvonne Wong, took on the PADI Mermaid Course, and wow—what an experience she had! From learning graceful swimming techniques to truly connecting with the marine ecosystem, this course was both fun and eye-opening.

Day 2 & 3 Highlights of Miss Scuba International with Miss Scuba PNG, Yvonne Wong. 🇵🇬🤿

Day 2 (18.11.24):
Yvonne enjoyed an exhilarating afternoon dive at Mabul Island, encountering over 10 sea turtles, some of which were tagged. She also participated in the PADI Dive Against Debris course, where the contestants contributed to ocean conservation by conducting a dive cleanup. It was an honor meeting Mr. Mark Hedgers, a globally renowned diving professional, during this memorable day pictured along with Miss Scuba Singapore and Mr. Hedgers. Ending the day 2 with the contestants singing session to commemorate Mabul Island and Malaysia as a whole.

Day 3 (19.11.24):
The day began with preparations for another dive, followed by the sorting and documentation of waste materials collected during the cleanup dive. Yvonne worked alongside her fellow contestants to organize the debris by material type and shared vital information about the dive site with the PADI instructor. After the hard work, Yvonne posed for a photo with Ms. USA and the two kind and supportive MSI chaperones.
