Paradise Foods Limited has joined numerous other concerned corporate citizens who have contributed food relief items specifically for communities affected by Cyclone Maila.
Their help came early this month, an arrangement orchestrated by the Port Moresby-based Milne Bay Community Association Incorporated.
Over 900 cartons of a variety of their biscuit products and bottled water were donated, 700 of it on ground here in Alotau.
Sandra Namuri, Paradise Foods Ltd Trade Marketing Officer in Alotau delivered the stock to the Provincial Disaster & Emergency Committee and commented "When communuties are impacted by disasters, supporting them is both the right thing to do and is part of our responsibility as a national food company."
Dr Perista Mamadi, a member of the Provincial Disaster Committee when receiving the help expressed gratitude to everyone involved.
"We want to thank and acknowledge both Paradise Foods Ltd and the Milne Bay Community in Port Moresby for the collaboration for this donation towards a worthy course."
They will be added to the stockpile of relief supplies already on hand in Alotau from numerous donations that will be dispersed to affected communities over the next two weeks.
