Community Achievement for Gulf Christian Services
Gulf Christian Services formally launched the Teacher’s House Building Project on 5 February 2026, an occasion that Digicel PNG Foundation is proud to acknowledge.
Kapuna, established in 1949 and serving more than 50,000 people in the Gulf Province continues its longstanding mission of delivering essential health and education services to remote communities. One of its key efforts, Kapuna Life School, has struggled for years to secure and retain qualified teachers due to limited accommodation, which has affected staff morale and service continuity.
Through a K100,000 Community Grant, the Foundation supported the construction of a durable staff house providing safe and suitable living conditions for teachers. This investment aims to improve teacher welfare, strengthen retention, and contribute to consistent, quality education for children from Kapuna, Ara Ava, Kairimai, and surrounding areas.
Digicel PNG Foundation commends Gulf Christian Services for its commitment to strengthening rural education and creating lasting, positive community impact.
