If the Killigs occurred after MRA conducted a Mining Wardens Hearing then MRA should be blamed for this killings. The process of accepting the Mining Application triggered the disagreements that led to the bloody conflict

You claim innocent only if you had rejected the application at the first place on the grounds that the land of interest had a village and a school.

Mining Act 1992 has loopholes when it comes to Small Scale Mining and MRA has the implementer of the Act should have made. Ammendments to the Act to reject mining licence applications outright if there are existing government institutions, villages, public infrastructure etc.

COP-6 of the Minamata Convention on Mercury was a space for learning, listening, and building connections. One of the most notable pieces was the planetGOLD Philippines Project's 🇵🇭 coffee table book, The Gold We Choose, which captures the people and decisions behind the shift to safer, mercury-free practices, reminding us that real change is shaped by the choices communities make every day.
