SIMBU REVERIE CHRISTMAS ART EXHIBITION

Join us for an unforgettable evening of art, culture, and Christmas celebration at the Simbu Reverie Christmas Art Exhibition. This elegant event will honour the creativity and cultural identity of Simbu through the work of outstanding authors, painters, designers, and craftsmen.

Clement Koys, one of Simbu’s most celebrated painters, will be present and completing a live painting throughout the night. Marshall F Ericho, author of the new book Dual, will also attend to speak about his work. Many more talented artists from Simbu will be showcasing their creations.

Guests will enjoy cocktails, beer, good company, and the opportunity to connect with members of the Simbu community in the prestigious setting of APEC Haus.

Original paintings, artworks, and books will be available for purchase for those wishing to support Simbu artists and authors.

Chasing Flowers in Simbu! 🌸

We took a drive up to Gembogl, hoping to buy some fresh flowers… but guess what? Not a single flower seller in sight!

Disappointed, we headed back down when—out of nowhere—I spotted flowers sticking out of a PMV window ahead of us! It was none other than Ambai Josie, our hardworking flower queen, who travels all the way from Gembogl to Kundiawa and Goroka just to sell her beautiful flowers!

We did what any determined flower lover would do—we screamed, honked, and chased the bus until it stopped! Poor Josie probably thought we were crazy, but we bought all her flowers right there on the road!

Now, here's the problem: I lost her number! If anyone in Kundiawa or Gembogl knows how to reach her, please let me know! I know she supplies some hotels in Goroka and Simbu, so hoteliers, help me out!

Moral of the story? Support our local SMEs! Whether it's flowers, coffee, bilums, or fresh produce—our Simbu entrepreneurs are working hard! Let’s chase them down (maybe not literally) and support them!
