Based in Port Moresby, the RSPCAPNG runs a Vet Clinic, delivers community education, and facilitates animal population management.

HAPPY ENDING ALERT: ZUMA IS HOME! 🐾💙We have wonderful news!

Lost dog Zuma's owner has finally come forward and Zuma is heading home where he belongs. It’s been a rough 5 days for Zuma’s owner. While searching for Zuma, his phones were stolen, so he wasn’t able to see our post until this morning after getting a new phone. We’re so grateful for the village that kept Zuma safe: A huge thank you to Koko the security guard for caring for Zuma and keeping him well and safe for 9 days And to Angela Sen for checking in to make sure Zuma was fed and looked after. This is exactly why we do what we do. Every lost pet deserves to be reunited, and every happy ending means one more pet gets the long, happy life they deserve. Welcome home, Zuma ❤️🏠🐾

LOST DOG | WAITING FOR OWNER 🐾

Thanks to our friend Angela, this sweet pup is now safe with us at the RSPCA Clinic while he waits for his family.
Here’s his story:
For 9 days, Koko, Security Guard in green looked after him after he was found wandering. Angela, who does her afternoon walks at Ela Beach feeding dogs, spotted him and let us know.
Koko kindly agreed to hand him over to us so we can ensure he’s safe and healthy until his owner comes forward.
If this is your dog, please come to the RSPCA Shelter in Waigani to claim him.
Proof of ownership will be required.

Truckload of floof, dachshunds doing zoomies, tiny pups in kids’ arms, families with their paw babies... AND a squad of miniature bull terriers rolling in like little bath tub bodybuilders rolled into RSPCA PNG 😂🐾

Today’s Dog Dip was chaos in the best way.

Very good dogs got the full spa treatment: bath, scrub, rinse, repeat.
Then there were the tub skeptics. You know the ones. All 4 legs in the air, side eye, "absolutely not human."
But 2 seconds in the cool water and boom: melted. Ears back, tail wag, suddenly "oh... this is nice actually."

By the end, 39 dogs were squeaky clean, calm, and probably plotting their next nap.

Shout out to every owner who did the wet-dog dance with us today. Worth it for those fresh pup smiles.💙 See you on the next Dog Dip 3rd October💙

Does your dog have ticks or fleas? Bring him or her to our monthly dog dip. For only K10 we will wash your pet in a medicated water that helps get rid of fleas and ticks.
