The intrigued art of cutting feathers for women's head dress in the mekeo traditional dance ceremony is only created by certain village clans. Every feather cut and woven has a story.. Mekeo women wear representing their fathers clan . Every clan in a village has its own unique art in decorating headdress . A culture with true value of respect and pride. 💪👌👍🌺

To the 991 followers. There will be a mini Craft market held at Agevairua station hisiu village on thee 12th September 2025.

There will be traditional dancing. We will also showcase bater system with in the event. We encourage this system just for independence. we will be expecting tourist in our community for the first time and we'd like you to come and enjoy our highway to kairuku. Enjoy our vegetable varieties, taste mekeo rice cooked with clay pots. Check out our favourite fish 🐟🐠 🐠 talapia and other fish varieties.
