IRRM Womkama FARM road fully maintenaned and widened by 1m, sealed where bumpy or rough and curve cut 180 degrees a total distance of 0.3Km by local road engineers fitting 70 of 100 Gabon or wire baskets supported with planting of nursery trees on the sides, promoting environment friendly infrastructure.

Basket wire cost K200.00 per basket. It's a Self funded project and request users of this road particularly Womkama able elites to contribute basket wires for the benefits of your clans/tribes men and women.

Effects of drastic changes of weather patterns caused by irresponsible inhabitants of this globe greatly affected our lifestyle. Mitigation actions like Climate Smart Farming and Reforestation must by applied in all community.

IRRM community of Womkama planted 1,000 of its 25,000 trees on sites affected by landslides including on the road sides in Mitnande and Kundiawa Gembogl road.

There are two major components to Agriculture. They are food/cash crops and Livestock. However, Livestock especially pig farming is not common in Mitnande although it has economic and cultural values. IRRM in Womkama now introducing pigs to more than 20 families to integrate Livestock with food and cash crops as a Climate Change Friendly Farming in midst of looming climate change effects. Farmers are now encouraged and trained to shift from mono cropping to adapt crop rotation or mixed cropping integrate with Livestock. This training will become a launching pad for Climate friendly farming for Mitnande LLG Farmers as a mitigation and adaption practices in respond to the drastic effects of looming Climate Change.
