In Papeari, the morning began with the preparation of the sailing canoes and a presentation by Léo Tauapaohu on the rites and traditions of Teva i Uta, as well as the history of the Teva people and the various marae located in the municipality. Over in Tehoro (Mataiea), the sailing canoes delighted the young participants attending the festival, offering them the chance to sail in a pleasant breeze.
