Who are we?
“La educación no debería ser un privilegio, debería ser un derecho”
Chol An is a nonprofit organisation placed in Trujillo, Peru. We work with a small local school with in a less privileged area. In Chol An we believe in equality and that every child should be offered the right tools to be able to succeed in their life, therefore we provide with English classes every week and a summer program during the summer vacation. We work primarily with 5th and 6th grade but we hope to be able to expand the amount of classes within the near future.
Our program is build up around the global citizen education. We want to help the children understand the world around them and acquire them with the best tools to do so. We do that through English language learning and through our summer program where we work with culture exchange, global issues, equality and team work. The English Classes has now become a part of the children’s schedule and is therefore obligatory. Where as the after summer program is optional for the children if they want to participate or not.
