The Association Indigenous Center for Sustainable Development (CINDES) is a non-governmental, non-profit community-based indigenous peoples of the Peruvian Amazon that works in the Ucayali Region (Peru). The communities are facing a number of issues such as high rates of unemployment, poverty and lack of education, poor health conditions, and high rates of common diseases, tuberculosis, malaria, c

holera, infections, and illiteracy. CINDES was formed in 2004 in collaboration with the communities, in the service of the communities. The main interest of the organization is to work with young Amazonian indigenous marginalized and disadvantaged children and their families, and enable them to improve their access to education and health services. Also in the protection and conservation of wild lives, aromatic plants, medicinal plants, birds and valuation of the cultures, arts and traditional knowledge of indigenous Amazonian peoples of Peru. The organization is registered in the Register of the National Superintendence of Public Records (SUNARP) of Peru.
