ACT Peru Act Peru is providing humanitarian aid to people in the Pucallpa, Peru area. This growing city is located on the banks of the Ucayali river.

Poverty, and malnutrition plague the people. Many have no access to running water or sanitary facilities. ACT Peru supports jungle missions in Peru. We do this though intensive networking with deployed missionaries, repatriated mission ambassadors, hopeful missionaries, educational and medical communities, and anyone who is enthusiastic about supporting jungle missions with their time, talents, an

d money. In may ways, Peru is like three distinct countries because of its geography: coastal, mountain, and jungle. In each the culture and lifestyle is unique. In the jungle, life is hard and often the people are poor. Communities tend to form along the winding rivers as these support drinking water and the only practical modes of transportation. Villages can be remote and quite isolated, but not wholly cut off from the outside world. So the jungle presents difficult and interesting challenges to life and to the work of daily living in Peru.
