Even one day, one hour, thirty minutes with someone matters.
This week we watched hands shake as they anointed with oil, trauma met with prayer, and hope show up in the smallest moments.
Casa de Luz is a place where God sits with His people.

Today was a full day of care for our Casa de Luz community.

Medical consultations, therapy, and dental attention, all in one place, all in one day. And none of it possible without the people who showed up to make it happen.

A huge thank you to the volunteer doctors from Peru who gave their time to serve alongside us, and to our team from North Carolina, who have been with us every step of this week.

This is what community looks like. We are grateful. 🧡

Today in Huacho, we visited the Virgen del Carmen care home to spend time with the elderly, checking in on their health, taking care of their medical needs, and making sure each person felt seen and cared for.

Because showing up for people is never just about medicine. It’s about presence.

We are grateful for every moment like this one. 🧡

Three days of medical outreach in the community. A leadership summit with our Casa de Luz team 🤍. Worship with the kids two nights in a row. And new sound and music equipment, guitars included.

We’ve lost count of how many people we’ve seen. What we haven’t lost track of is why: everyone who sits down gets care, and gets prayed over 🫂

Blessed to be a blessing. Thank you, North Carolina.

Today looked like this: a team from North Carolina alongside us in Pan, Luz y Vida and Expansión Casuarinas. Medical care, medicine, and prayer for every person who sat down with us 🤍

Then, at night, worship with our kids, the best way to close a day like today.

Grateful for friends who come and serve alongside us 🫂

Katye came to Casa de Luz with a team ready to serve, love, and pour into our community in meaningful ways. We’re so grateful to the Lord for all He is doing through her life and for all that He still has in store.

We pray that God continues to guide her, strengthen her, and use her life to bless many more along the way. ✨
