Last week we packed up and headed to Lucre, just outside Cusco.
Over a few days we checked dogs and cats, gave basic treatment, and helped families with spay/neuter so there are fewer unwanted litters and less suffering down the line.
We also had Lay Lay with us from the US - she’s 17 and wants to become a vet. Watching her jump in, learn fast, and care so much was one of those reminders of why this work matters.
