ASPRIDEQ´ ONGD MANU PERU was created with clear propuse for protecting, conserving and restorating the Piñi Piñi mountain chain where it shows working as model for management the sustainable forest and involvement the people who live there. This particular environment provides special conditions for the interests of local and foreign: Students, Biologists, Scientists, Botanists, Zoologists, Anthro
pologists, Geologists or any other professionals or students who wish to integrate their skills in the different activities that the organization provides through the Ecovoluntary system, solidary tourism (Eco tourism), protection, conservation and sustainable management of the forest. Together with scientific research and a variety of volunteers will work to help us to acquire new knowledge about the ecosystem of the Peruvian Jungle and helping us to promote a rise in environmental awareness. When participating within the Eco-volunteer program means that you will be in full cooperation with the persons in charge of the maintenance of the reserve where you are staying. The type of work that you can choose to undertake will depend upon your expectations and skills:
* Patrolling the conservation area
* Practicing wildlife collecting data.
* Practicing collecting data on flora with medicinal qualities, orchids, seedling trees…
* Restoration.
* Monitoring and reintroduction endemic animals to their natural habitat.
* Permaculture/Agriculture (maintenance, implementing and planting).
* Workshop: teaching environmental program for local or indigenous children.
* Attending and sustainable management the touristic basecamp.
* Promote and improve the webpage.
* Constructing structures and infrastructure.
* Maintenance the machines and trails.
* Personal project and others. During your free time you can enjoy the many wonders that this reserve offer or just spending your time relaxing in this tropical paradise with a book in hand and your thoughts of the fast pace of life you left behind, far away. AMARU MAYU ECOLOGICAL VOLUNTEER RESERVE
It counts with 655 hectares of mountain forest, its characteristic with present topographical variations, high precipitations and great variation of habitats which implicate a rich and diversity of flora and fauna
Evermore it represent an important area of the Piñi Piñi mountain chain and Pantiacolla being transition zone with species in migration between high jungle lowlands, where exist a rich biodiversity to present different ecological zones of 500 m.a.s.l to 1000 m.a.s.l. The reserve contributes to the preservation of the biodiversity, doing conservation work involving sustainable management of these mountains forests that is in risk due to the disappearance of the necessary flora which helps in the prevention of soil erosion. There is also the risk of extinction of many species of fauna through human intervention upsetting their habitat with the consequent degradation of the elemental quality and the ecological equilibrium. LOCATION OF THE RESERVE
The reserve is located between the eastern slopes of the Andes and the Amazon basin of the mountain chain of Piñi Piñi. At the buffer zone of the National Park and Biosphere Reserve Manu. Reference: Puerto Fluvial Atalaya where indigenous and local villages are settled. Pongo Q'oñec is geographical area and consists of high mountain slopes and vertical structures of great ecology, at risk due to the current imbalance caused by the extinction of some species of flora, fauna and soil erosion.
