Toastmasters International turns 100 this year, a remarkable achievement that started with the foresight and vision of a man, founder Dr. Ralph C. Smedley. He was born on February 22, 1878 in Waverly, Illinois, United States and died on September 11, 1965 at the age of 87, in Santa Ana, California, United States.
His daughter Betty said he was an avid stamp collector and corresponded and exchanged stamps with people all over the world. He also loved music and played the flute for many years and the piano all his life. He enjoyed camping and fishing with friends, and specially summer vacations with his family.
He was a man with an inquisitive mind. He thoroughly enjoyed people and experiences and was truly interested in learning as much as he could, both for his own enjoyment and to help other people.

June 24th, 2024- INTI RAYMI
Sun Festival in honor of the Apu Inti or Sun God, the beginning of a new inca year.
It was a magnificent festival in the Inca Empire and was held at the winter solstice in June when the sun is furthest away from Earth,
that´s when the harvest begins. The contemporary ceremony repeats the incan rites in even the smallest detail.
This ceremony is performed in Sacsayhuaman Fortress, Cusco,
