We are cultivators and guardians of flourishing ocean ecosystems.Stationed on the island of Solarte, in Bocas Del Toro, Panama, we are doing our best to advance reef restoration and rebuilding diverse fish habitat.

On August 29th, we gathered at Bambuda Bocas Town for an afternoon dedicated entirely to marine conservation.

This space, created by Grupo TASO, was a wonderful opportunity to learn about the importance of coral reefs and support the habitat restoration work we carry out at Caribbean Coral Restoration Center in Bocas del Toro.

Thank you to everyone who attended and showed support by purchasing our merchandise, your contributions go directly toward supporting our efforts in the ocean.

We also want to highlight a deeply meaningful gesture: Bambuda Bocas Town donated a percentage of their event sales to the Caribbean Coral Restoration Center. This generous financial contribution directly strengthens our mission.

In Bocas del Toro, the ocean is much more than a beautiful view. It provides food for families, supports livelihoods, sustains an incredible diversity of marine life, and shapes the identity of our communities.

Yet our oceans face growing challenges, including pollution, habitat loss, overfishing, and the impacts of climate change.

On this World Ocean Day, we celebrate the beauty and importance of the ocean while recognizing our shared responsibility to protect it. Every action matters—from reducing waste to supporting conservation, restoration, and environmental education efforts.

Together, we can help ensure that future generations inherit healthy oceans, thriving coral reefs, and vibrant coastal communities.

What would happen if coral reefs disappeared?

When corals disappear, we don’t just lose biodiversity. We also face fewer fish in our ecosystems and communities, greater vulnerability of our coastlines to waves and storms, and fewer opportunities for education, research, and learning about the ocean.

Everything is connected.

The health of coral reefs influences the health of our seas, our communities, and our future. Even though we don’t all live underwater, we all depend on what happens there.
