Panamá, 20/08/2026- En el marco de la colaboración que desarrolla el Parlamento Latinoamericano y Caribeño (PARLATINO) con Trends Group, se llevó a cabo una conferencia virtual sobre los Fondos Soberanos de Inversión de los países del Golfo y su potencial impacto en el desarrollo económico de América Latina y el Caribe. La sesión contó con la participación del presidente del PARLATINO, diputado Rolando González Patricio; así como de integrantes de las 13 Comisiones Permanentes de la institución; Gustavo Acosta, representante para América Latina del Consejo Global y del Parlamento de Tolerancia y Paz; y Elías A. Castillo G., secretario ejecutivo del PARLATINO.
La conferencia tuvo como ponente al Dr. Paulo Botta, quien analizó la evolución y estrategias de inversión de los fondos soberanos del Golfo, así como sus oportunidades de cooperación e inversión para América Latina y el Caribe.

Panama, 20/08/2026- As part of the collaboration between the Latin American and Caribbean Parliament (PARLATINO) and Trends Group, a virtual conference was held on the Sovereign Wealth Funds of the Gulf countries and their potential impact on the economic development of Latin America and the Caribbean. The session was attended by PARLATINO President, Congressman Rolando González Patricio; as well as members of PARLATINO’s 13 Standing Committees; Gustavo Acosta, Representative for Latin America of the Global Council and the International Parliament for Tolerance and Peace; and Elías A. Castillo G., Executive Secretary of PARLATINO.
The conference featured Dr. Paulo Botta as its main speaker, who analyzed the evolution and investment strategies of Gulf sovereign wealth funds, as well as opportunities for cooperation and investment for Latin America and the Caribbean.
