Sowing Seeds of Love is a Christian non-profit organization dedicated to encouraging individual empowerment in women and children. ld. In order to be a change in the world, SSOL needs to engage children and win their hearts. Lindsey’s approach to building SSOL is to build relationships through listening, learning and discovering the needs in and around the local community of Boquete Panama, allowing her to truly understand their needs. In 2011, I moved to the Republic of Panama to create SSOL, a Christian non-profit organization focused on empowering indigenous women and children through education, creative arts, reading programs, and team sports. SSOL is a 501c3 non-profit, in which I’ve been blessed to have an incredibly supportive board of directors. When I initially moved to Panama, I spent the first few months increasing my understanding of the local culture, advancing my Spanish speaking skills, building relationships and establishing credibility within the community. All of this helped to create the perfect foundation to move forward with the seed of an idea that God had planted in my heart---“officially” launching SSOL in the ways that He saw fit. SSOL has been ministering to women and children around the Boquete area of Panama for over two years. Thanks to a generous monthly donation we have been able to rent a small home in the center of Boquete, where we’re able to implement and run our SSOL projects, as well as provide stable employment for indigenous women through 4Love. God has been using our little home to provide:

Community English Classes
Team Sports for Children
Creative Art Programs for Women and Children
We also have projects off-site at Casa Hogar Trisker, a local orphanage that SSOL supports. At the orphanage, we provide:
Basic Educational Classes
English Classes
Bedtime Story program
Art Programs
Vacation Bible School {multiple times a year}
None of these projects would be possible without volunteers or supplies. God has blessed me with four friends, who consistently volunteer their time, 1-2 times per week, to help run all of our projects for the women and children. {Perla, Pam, Deborah and Pattie, I appreciate everything each of you does for these women and children}.
