നാം ജീവിക്കുന്ന നമ്മെ ഉൾക്കൊള്ളുന്ന
ഈ പരിസ്ഥിതിയെ സംരക്ഷിക്കേണ്ടതിൻ്റെ
ആവശ്യകതയെ പറ്റി ലോകത്ത് ആകമാനം
ചർച്ച ചെയ്യുന്ന ദിനം.

1972 ലാണ് ഐക്യരാഷ്ട്ര സംഘടന പരിസ്ഥിതി ദിനം ആഘോഷിക്കാൻ തീരുമാനിച്ചെതെങ്കിലും
1973 ലാണ് ‘ഒരൊറ്റ ഭൂമി’ എന്ന മുദ്രാവാക്യവുമായി ലോകത്താകമാനം പരിസ്ഥിതി ദിനം ആഘോഷിച്ചു തുടങ്ങിയത്
റിപ്പബ്ലിക്ക് ഓഫ് കൊറിയ ആണ് ഈ വർഷ
ത്തെ പരിസ്ഥിതി ദിനആഘോഷങ്ങൾക്ക്
ആതിഥേയത്വം വഹിക്കുന്ന രാജ്യം.
‘ ആഗോള പ്ലാസ്റ്റിക്ക് മലിനീകരണം അവസാനി
പ്പിക്കുക’ എന്നതാണ് ഇത്തവണത്തെ പരിസ്ഥിതി ദിനത്തിൻ്റെ സന്ദേശം.
