🌺Tātou Collective signs MoU with Centre for Pacific Languages 🌺

Last Friday, Tātou Collective formally signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Centre for Pacific Languages (CPL), marking an important step in our commitment to strengthening translation, interpretation and cultural-linguistic support across eight Pacific language groups.

This partnership is about making sure our Navigator resources are not only linguistically accurate, but culturally meaningful and relevant to the diverse Pacific communities we serve. It also strengthens our approach to culturally grounded commissioning and equitable access.

The Tātou Collective Cultural Advisory Board has been established to provide independent cultural advice and community intelligence that helps ensure our commissioning reflects the strengths, realities and aspirations of Pacific communities.

𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗮 𝗴𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗿 𝗳𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗯𝗼𝗮𝗿𝗱. Instead, members will help identify:
🌴 emerging community needs
🛡 cultural strengths and protective factors
🎯 future priorities
🤝 opportunities to strengthen Pacific wellbeing.

✨ It was a meaningful day bringing together Te Puni Kōkiri and the four Whānau Ora Commissioning Agencies yesterday to reflect, connect and look ahead.

We shared insights, aligned on priorities and strengthened our collective commitment to whānau wellbeing across Aotearoa. It was also a special moment to celebrate one year since the establishment of each commissioning agency, an important milestone in our journey together.

Here’s to continued collaboration, impact and putting whānau at the centre of everything we do. 👏

🪷 Day 2 of our National Tātou Collective Fono 2026 focused on innovation, collaboration and celebration.

We began by marking one year of Tātou Collective, with our Establishment CE Leasiosiofa'asisina Rachel Enosa and church ministers cutting a commemorative cake to honour the partnerships and collective effort behind our journey so far.

We were also grateful to receive a video message from Minister for Whānau Ora, Hon Tama Potaka, who acknowledged the important work of Navigators and the impact they continue to make in communities across Aotearoa.

That spirit of partnership carried through the day as we heard from five Navigators who have been testing our new MyFetu app over the past 10 weeks. Their insights and feedback are helping shape a tool designed to better support Navigators and whānau.

We also acknowledge the Chief Executives and Board Chairs of our delivery partners, who met yesterday and whose leadership and collaboration continue to strengthen our collective impact across Aotearoa.

🌺 Today, 144 Navigators from across Aotearoa came together at the Due Drop Events Centre in Manukau for a day focused on Navigator Leadership Through Service.

Opening the fono, Establishment Chief Executive Leasiosiofa'asisina Rachel Enosa spoke about the importance of our frontline workforce and the role they play in carrying hope for whānau. Every day, Navigators walk alongside families, supporting them through challenges and helping them work towards their goals and aspirations.

That is why Day 1 was dedicated to our Navigators. Through provider-led workshops, presentations and shared learning, attendees exchanged practical insights, experiences and approaches from their work with whānau and communities across the motu.

Malo lava and heartfelt thanks to all our Navigators and delivery partners for the leadership, knowledge and service you bring to this work every day.
