Whitianga Playcentre

Here at Playcentre we have 16 areas of play for kids from 0-6yrs to enjoy. Sessions run on a Tuesday & Friday 9am-12pm and are free of charge. Come along, have a coffee with other parents while the kids have a blast exploring everything on offer. We highly recommend bringing a change of clothes for the kids- messy play can be....messy! We have two meetings a term to make decisions about things and keep up to date with everything. We encourage members to come to as many meetings as possible and read minutes if they can't attend, as lots of important information is communicated here. Playcentre Aotearoa offer FREE adult education. Even up to a level 4 ECE certificate if you want. The education helps you to understand child development and I feel it's helped me become a better mother. So of course we encourage parents to do the education, it's also a requirement for our licensing to have a certain number of people with qualifications and first aid certification each session. The Playcentre Aotearoa website has heaps of information covering everything that Playcentre is about. Playcentre is unique to Aotearoa - it's s a hidden treasure in some ways.
