If you've upgraded your phone to 4G recently, you're in good shape. Be aware though that other devices in your home may stop working after the shutdown at the end of the year. These may include: Tablets (iPad etc), smart watches, medical alarms, security alarms and vehicle trackers. If you have older versions of these systems, best to contact your supplier or manufacturer to ensure that you are covered.

3G is being shutdown at the end of 2025.
Find out if your phone is 4G compatible by sending a free-text to 550. In the body of the text enter 3G. You will receive a text message to let you know if your phone is good to go or needs attention.
If you need to upgrade your device, affordable options are available. Ask your provider (Spark, One, 2Degrees etc.) specifically about 3G reliance.
You can also contact SeniorNet Whitianga for a One-on-One session to help you through this transition.
