To Keep Our Youth Inspired
INTRODUCTION:
In Northland, our youth particularly have been subjected to the brutal reality of living below the breadline. We have suffered as a result of councils turning their backs on facilities, activities, technology, and support for youth and we want to bridge that gap. KOYI want to be able to provide an outlet for their
purpose, to claim their place in society and escape the statistics of poverty and unemployment in Northland. To give them praise to develop their skills, strengths and talents and ensure the creation of the future stars and future leaders of the nation. As KOYI we hope to highlight issues pertaining to youth by providing a forum for discussion, and networking with other organisations, to be proactive in solutions, giving youth a sense of place in their future. That rangatahi/youth, be recognized for their talents, capacity to participate and share
2. For youth to be able to express their emotions and feelings in ways they feel comfortable.
3. Provide opportunities for young people to create and distinguish their individual talents.
4. Connect young people with career opportunities and networks.
6. Provide an avenue for young people to share their views on social networking
MOTIVATION
1 To assist small communities in updating their facilities that accommodate our youth; our scenic reserves, parks and swimming zones, etc.
2 Ensure areas environmentally friendly ie; trees, fencing, BBQ, water treatment.
3 Provide outlets and activities for youth by youth to express themselves in their own environment, in reality and by means of the facebook Portal.
4 Tackle hard hitting issues affecting youth in Northland. STRATEIC GOALS
