1. The is a stand at Forum North. Open Monday to Friday 9am-4pm & Saturday 9am-1pm where you can register to vote and answer questions.
2. Advance Voting starts from Monday 26th October.

𝐏𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐤𝐚 𝐅𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐚𝐩𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐎𝐧𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐩 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 (𝐅𝐫𝐞𝐞)

In partnership with Theresa Alaimoana of Wellthwise Pasifika Ltd., and Vice President of the PACIFICA Pacifica Kirikiriroa - Hamilton Branch, we are offering a FREE five-week online programme for all Pacific individuals and families (ages 16 years and over).

Through practical workshops and talanoa, participants will explore budgeting, debt, financial protection, homeownership, KiwiSaver, investing and intergenerational wealth.

The workshops will be held online on Tuesdays from 7.00pm–9.00pm, from 29 September to 27 October. Register for selected workshops or join the full programme, no previous financial knowledge is required.

"I never imagined I'd become the first PhD in my family.” 👩‍🎓

A massive ka pai tō mahi to PhD Medicine tauira and gynaecological cancer researcher Alexandria Tino, who graduated on Saturday with a Doctor of Philosophy in Medicine 🩺✨

It comes after a decade making aluminium mag wheels for Ford, and later, working night shifts assembling refrigerators and washing machines while raising a young child. Alexandria is the first person in her family to earn a degree ❤️

"I've learnt that your starting point doesn't determine where you finish. If sharing my story encourages even one person to believe they can do something they never thought possible, then it's all been worth it,” Alexandria says.

PARADE ROUTE ANNOUNCED!
Come out and show your support as a “sea of blue” rolls through town and the Taniwha rise again! ⬆️⬆️⬆️

Wear blue and line the streets of the parade route to cheer on the almighty Northland Taniwha! The players will be travelling with the Ranfurly Shield and giving everyone a chance to be part of the celebration. No other floats!

🛡️RANFURLY SHIELD PARADE
Saturday 29 August 2026
STARTS: 11:00am at Te Matau a Pohe Bridge
ARRIVES: 12:00 noon, Whangārei C*D 🏉

The team will be leaving the C*D at 1:00pm to prepare for their Ranfurly Shield Defence match against Tasman, (nearly sold-out) at Semenoff Stadium this Sunday.

📌 Route:
The team's parade float will start by going over Te Matau a Pohe Bridge, then out on Riverside Drive going past the Northland Rugby Union practice fields and headquarters. They'll continue towards town next to the Hātea Loop and enter Central Whangarei via Rathbone Street.

The parade will finish in the C*D where there will be speeches followed by an opportunity to see the shield up close, meet the players and share in the occasion.
