An updated rāhui area and map is available here as at Friday 21st November.
Please update your whanau, networks and organisations of this adjustment to the rāhui which will be in place until Friday 28th November.
For those that wish to help in the search tomorrow, please come to Mahanga Rd at the field base.
In tautoko for Ngāti Kororā, the wider hapū of Whangārei Terenga Parāoa and Te Waiariki have met to consider the rāhui in place for the tragedy which has occurred over the last week.
In light of the last stages of search being completed Saturday 22 November, the current rāhui asking all refrain from swimming, boating and collecting kaimoana from Tutukākā to Waipū will remain in place until 6pm Saturday 22 November.
The scaled down rāhui which will take effect 6pm Saturday 22 November to 6pm Friday 28 November is described below.
From Pā Harakeke (also known as Goat Island found at the southern end of Ngunguru Bay) to Toka Whakapiripiri (also known as the northern rocks of Kauri Mountain Beach) and extending 500m offshore.
This rāhui asks all to refrain from swimming, boating and collecting kaimoana within this area
Any wishing to assist the last stages of this search on Saturday 22 November are welcome to report to Sargent Paul Overton, at the field base found on Mahanga Road.
