Manaia Camp visitors please note the following traffic announcement.
There will be ongoing road rehabilitation from early July until December on the Whangarei Heads road just above the Camp.
The road will be down to one lane so please keep this in mind when travelling to Camp during this period.

Matariki is coming up soon and Camp Manaia has Jensen House (with heat pump in the main area) and both lodges available for the weekend.
What a fantastic spot to look up at the stars, just wrap up warm.

Camp Manaia is pretty full for the upcoming school holidays, including Easter weekend, but we do have the nights of the 6th and 7th April available if anyone wants to extend their Easter weekend.

We don't have any bookings for Matariki weekend yet, so get in quick and enjoy a long weekend under the stars at Camp Manaia.

As Manaia Camp was funded into a new water tank by the Whangarei District Council, we have decided to keep the old tank to be used by the Whangarei Heads Volunteer Fire Brigade for emergencies and fires in the neighborhood.

We really hope that it does not ever get used, but thankful we have the ability to put it to good use if there ever is a fire.

I was asked by a guest the other day about walking tracks in the Camp Manaia area, so I thought it would be good to pop them up here.
The brochure can also be collected from town at the Information Centre.

We have just had a cancellation for Jensen House (sleeps 15 max) for this coming long weekend. Dates available are 23rd to 27th January.
$140.00 minimum charge per night for 6 people or less.
$23.00 per person per night for 6 or more people.

A big THANK YOU to the Whangarei District Council Communities Fund for Manaia Baptist Camp's new water tank.

Our old tank was leaking, and now we can save water and ensure our guests have a reliable water supply.

Camp Manaia has been part of the Predator Free Possum elimination campaign running through Bream Bay and Whangarei Heads, and we have just received a letter from the Northland Regional Council with their statistics.
We are proud to mention that we were part of this project.

We also thought this would be a good time to explain why we don't allow dogs on the camp property. We have Kiwis in the surrounding bush, and as some dogs could be a threat to the Kiwis, we ask that you leave them at home.

We hope at your next stay at Camp Manaia, you get to hear a Kiwi or 2 calling.
