WOW! What a year it has been. As your 2025 Christian Service Leaders we have enjoyed all aspects of our journey through the year. From Opening Mass to the blessing and opening of The Whare Maru to Cardboard City to Shave For A Cure, all the way up to the last Mass of the year, our journey has been a memorable one.

We would like to thank everyone that has supported and encouraged us throughout the year. To Ms Ward and Mr Etchells. You guys are the ones who have been there for us. Through the thought times and the good times, your support has helped us to be the best we can be.
To our fellow student leaders. Thank you for being there for us and actively supporting and collectively being a part of this journey. Honestly, without all of you we couldn't have done most of the things we achieved this year.
And to the rest of the school. Thank you for being you. Your presence at Garin College is meaningful and all the support we get from you is truly amazing and appreciated. Even if it was something as simple as saying thank you for the Mass, you have all lived and shown the Spirit of Garin!!

Congratulations to Renèe and Lennuu for becoming the 2026 Christian Service Leaders. We know that the Spirit of Garin will continue to thrive throughout the College. We wish you both all the best for 2026 and hope that your faith journeys will continue to grow throughout the year

Absolutely amazing evening at Cardboard City 2025. Funds were raised and the Spirit of Grain College shined. With the focus of Gaza and the current war, our mission was to be in the shoes of those affected by war in Gaza. Across the 6 hours we only ate rice for dinner, popcorn for supper, built cardboard houses, had a liturgy, connected with one another and played games such as Spotlight and Jenga. Overall it was an amazing evening filled with fun, laughter, reflection and prayer.

We are super excited to be your 2025 Christian Service Leaders. We're really looking forward to all the service related things this year such as the JAM team, Cardboard City, Can Drive, School Masses and more. We hope you guys get involved in some of these things throughout the year to help promote the Wairua of Garin.

And that’s a wrap!! Well done to everyone all the juniors and seniors who received a prize at prizing giving today! Thank you so much for everyone who supported Finn and Bridgets leadership this year, a special thank you to Ms Ward and Mr Etchells who supported us and our journey as the Christian service leaders this year! It has been an absolute pleasure being apart of Garins Leadership team and working along side all of the other leaders this year. Well done to Kate and Sophie and good luck for next year and your own personal journeys as the 2025 Christian Service leaders!
