Kia ora 👋 A reminder that the Winter Energy Payment ends on 1 October.

This happens every year at the same time. Your final Winter Energy Payment for 2026 will be in the week beginning 5 October and it will be a part payment.

We know the Winter Energy Payment can make a difference over the colder months. If you’re worried about managing without it, we may be able to help you in other ways.

Find out what other support may be available 👇

Check what financial assistance you may qualify for using our online tool 👇

If you qualify for the Winter Energy Payment next year, you'll get it again automatically starting from 1 May 2027.

🚨 Just a reminder, if you see posts or messages about payments, take a moment to check where the information is coming from and make sure it’s from an official source. Real changes will always be shared in places you know and trust, like the Work and Income website.

Feed the Whānau #4 🍽️💚
What a finale! Last night wrapped up our Feed the Whānau series in the best possible way, with the incredible Vick from LuvCoffee and Rassasy cooking up a delicious Thai Green Tofu Curry. Thanks Vick, for sharing your knowledge, background and great presenting skills with us. What a legend! 🌟

It was such a fun evening, and we are so grateful to everyone who attended and helped make this series so special. Thank you for your kind words and feedback, we are thrilled to hear you enjoyed it.

A huge thank you to our amazing team who helped make the series a success, Vanessa and Moira, our wonderful counsellors, Heleene, our dedicated Whānau Support and FV Worker and Jess, our Manager, for organising and coordinating the series from start to finish.

We would also like to acknowledge and thank our primary funder, Save the Rain, whose support made all of this possible. Your investment in our community has helped create positive, sustainable changes for whānau and we are incredibly grateful!

Thank you all for being part of Feed the Whānau. We hope to do it all again next year!
