Something a little bit silly, for something quite serious!

If you're coming to our Hospice Charity Ambrose Tournament at Ohope Beach Golf Links, you'll be able to help us settle a long running battle between those who like the dolls, and those that don't.

Every dollar you bid on the dolls will go directly towards our local Hospice and help to keep hospice care free for those in our community that need it. And you can keep the dolls if you like!

Our Hospice Harcourts Charity Ambrose Tournament is on Sunday 19th July at Ohope Beach Golf LInks and it will be a lot of fun! All for a good cause!

We're after some firewood!

Do you, or anyone you know, have some firewood you might be able to donate? Preferably a trailerload? 😬

In a months time we have our Hospice Harcourts Charity Ambrose Golf Tournament at Ohope Beach Golf Links on Sunday 19th July at 10am.

After the tournament we have an auction (which is where we fundraise the most money for Hospice EBOP) and one of the most sought after auctions is a trailerload of firewood!

If you're in a position to donate some firewood - we would love to hear from you!

Statistics show that almost 94% of cars in small towns have a box or bag of donations in their boot at all times, which is super interesting and completely made up. However, If you're out and about and on a mission to finally donate that bag of preloved items that's been sitting in the back of your car since Christmas, and you come across this sight on Canning Place, out the BACK of our Hospice Shop in Whakatane... please know that you can still get in.

Our building is just having a bit of a nip and tuck so while the back looks like he's out of action - he's fine. Maybe being slightly dramatic about the whole occasion but ultimately he's still in good working order and you can get in to drop your donations off!

🎉 National Volunteer Week came early in the Eastern Bay of Plenty so that Dan could celebrate it with all of his volunteers before jetting back to the UK to be with family. It was a very lovely afternoon and as an added bonus, we got to introduce our new volunteer coordinator, Kim, to all of our volunteers.

🙌 We'd like to thank all of our volunteers for joining us at the Comm yesterday - it makes it way easier to celebrate our superstar volunteers when they're in the room with us 😉. We hope you all had a wonderful afternoon!

🙌 Our volunteers help Hospice provide the service that otherwise would be unaffordable..
✅Some volunteers sit with patients which allow carers the opportunity to recharge,
✅Some volunteers help out in the shops,
✅Some write bespoke life stories for patients that whānau will cherish for years to come... and so so much more that we just can't list everything volunteers do....

We're so grateful for our volunteers.

🙌 Thank you also to The Comm for hosting us and ensuring we were fed and watered. The atmosphere and the food was beautiful!

🙌 Thank you to Paul from Fisherman's Wharf Café who donated two vouchers to gift to two volunteers - every volunteer got a number when they arrived and Dan and Kim drew two random winning numbers - so, congratulations to Jennie and Linda! We hope you have a wonderful dinner at Fisherman's Wharf!

Paul is one of our superstar donors, always putting his hand up to help out with vouchers for our events - and the food is just DIVINE. If you haven't been to check it out - it's MUST-DO from us.

Our volunteer coordinator, Dan and our new volunteer coordinator, Kim, joined the Lyceum Club Evening Circle on the weekend, to talk to the group about becoming a Life Story Writer.

We'd like to thank everyone in the Lyceum Club Evening Circle for being so warm and inviting and thoroughly invested in what Dan and Kim had to say.

We're on the lookout!!!

The fundraising corner is buzzing over here at the Hospice Offices in Goulstone Road - which sounds very dramatic. It's actually just our fundraisers talking to themselves about the incredible things that can be won at our upcoming Hospice Harcourts Charity Ambrose Golf Tournament at Ohope Beach Golf Links on Sunday 19th July this year.

So, what are we looking for?? We're on the lookout for people that will listen to them because... well... they talks A LOT and we kinda have work to do.

They want you to know that you can win tickets to see Foo Fighters in January. or a holiday in Rotorua, and passes to hot pools, treewalks, yoga, pilates and so much more! So, please keep an eye out because there'll be more to hear about...

oh wait.. this just in.... Sourdough anyone? You can also win a sourdough baking kit. It's just non stop!
