2e Kids Whakatane A Charitable Trust supporting Whakatane families raising kids with special needs and disabilities by

2e Kids Whakatane is a Charitable Trust whose purpose is to support families who are raising children with special needs and disabilities. The journey to creating this charity began in 2019 and soon became a reality in July 2020 due to three mothers raising children with special needs, who in turn became friends with a shared passion. To create fun events and activities suitable for all children w

ith special needs and disabilities. To give them a chance to have fun, to create, learn and play, all within their boundaries

We also host regular support groups and play sessions with our families. It is important to us that we connect with the parents and caregivers, giving them the opportunity to relax and chat with likeminded people. “Talking with other people who are facing the challenges of raising a child with special needs can make those impossible days possible”

2e Kids Whakatane is dedicated to helping our families become empowered, to have a voice, to stand proud, to dream and let us help it become a reality.

I am connecting with providers in the Tauranga / Mt Maunganui region for this upcoming project and would love if you could share with your families who may fit into these guidelines for anyone with a disability leaving school or who may need support with what next in the future. I can see you are located in Whakatane but maybe supporting some people in Mt Maunganui/Tauranga.

🎈 Not sure what’s next after school? Let’s figure it out together. 🎈
Flying Kites is offering free one-on-one support for young people (ages 15–22) in the Mt Maunganui and wider Tauranga area who are disabled or neurodivergent — and feeling unsure about what to do next.

Maybe you’ve left school (or are about to) and you’re not sure what your options are.

We’re here to help you explore:
✅ Community activities
✅ Study or training ideas
✅ Disability supports and government services
✅ Your goals and what matters most to you
