Te Hā O Kawatiri will be hosting the Ready to Rent wānanga here at 37 Peel St on Tuesday and Wednesday 17-18 March 2026. The course is open to whānau who want to learn about their rights and responsibilities with renting. At the end of the second day, all participants will go home with a first aid kit, a folder of information, a phone full of contacts and a full puku.

At 10:30-11:30 on Wednesday 18th, we will have a zoom session with Vanessa O’Keeffe. Vanessa is a compliance officer with Tenancy Services based in Wellington. She will give a quick presentation and be available for Q & A with whānau and kaimahi. Well worth popping in if you have a chance.

At 1pm-2pm Wednesday 18th there will be two or three representatives from the rental team at Property Brokers including the Westcoast team leader. This is an opportunity for whānau and kaimahi to ask questions and make good connections for whānau in the future. Again, you are all welcome to pop in for the hour and ask questions.
