The Chief Ombudsman’s final report investigating the complaint by members of our community has been released. His official statement says, "Ministry acted unreasonably over consultation on Erebus Memorial site".

The Chief Ombudsman has slammed Manatū Taonga, the Ministry for Culture and Heritage for failing to consult widely before picking the site for the Erebus Memorial.
