Konnichi-wa & Kia ora e hoa,

Thank you for being valued friends of Japan Festival Wellington 🌸🍡⛩️

The last festival in 2024 was genuinely loved and celebrated by sponsors, organisers, participants and visitors however delivering large-scale biennial festivals as an entirely volunteer-run Trust has been incredibly challenging.

We love this community and the festival deeply, and in 2026 the Japan Festival Wellington Trust will be taking a pause to rest, reset and plan sustainably for the future 😇🙏✨️

Celebration is still happening in 2026! A Japan-themed festival is still happening at the end of the year organised by the Wellington City Council 🎉

The Trust is looking ahead to planning the next Japan Festival Wellington in 2028. Until then, arigatō for your understanding and continued support 🫶💛

Please stay connected with us through our social media channels and newsletters for future updates 📰🎤
