Evolve Wellington Youth Service Evolve is a youth development and primary care service based in central Wellington. For any inquiries, call 04-473-6204 or free call 0800-380-583.

We offer free & confidential health and social services for young people aged 10-24. HEALTH CARE
Evolve has a team of friendly, non-judgmental Doctors, Nurses and Nurse Practitioners. We provide free, high quality primary healthcare services to meet your health and wellbeing needs. Clinics are available at Evolve every weekday and also at some schools around Wellington. We also provide U18 Sexual

Healthcare. COUNSELLING
Counselling is youth-friendly, non-judgmental, and confidential! It is about creating a secure relationship in which you can be open, vulnerable, accepted, encouraged and challenged by your counsellor. Counselling normally runs for 5 sessions of around 50 minutes each time. SOCIAL SUPPORT
Evolve’s social workers and youth workers work alongside our nurses and doctors to provide practical support, information and advice. Our youth support team provide social work, group work, advocacy, information and advice. They can help arrange appointments, provide peer support and supply information about services at Evolve and elsewhere. They also coordinate projects, events and activities that anyone can join in with. GROUPS: (as of 26th January 2021)

Learner Licence - Mondays @ Strathmore Community Centre, Thursdays @ Evolve
Weekly Learner Licence workshops to support young people to get their drivers licence and get on the road safely. Youth Hauora Project - Monday-Thursday
Built to help our rangatahi to enhance their physical health journey. We have partnered with an awesome gym in Lyall Bay. Check our social media for current timetables. School's Out - Tuesdays

Q***r* social/support group for young people aged 13-18. This is a friendly space for anyone who falls under the LGBTIQ umbrella, including (but definitely not limited to!) le***an, gay, bisexual, pansexual, transgender, intersex, takātapui, fa'afafine, gender neutral and asexual. Parents' Group - Wednesdays
A social group for parents under 25-years-old. Parents Group meets weekly and is a space for young parents to connect with others in Wellington.

Evolve is a charity providing free youth healthcare, counselling, social support services and groups in Wellington. We are privileged to work alongside young people like Sam* who come to us for support.

We helped Sam with WINZ support and advocacy, information around study and Studylink, flat issues, mentoring and their mental health:

“When I first met my social worker I was at a really hard point in my life. Through meetings with her I was able to have amazing support and help obtaining a benefit. It’s a service that I genuinely really value and appreciate. I really like how friendly and kind she is and how she always seemed genuinely happy to see me because it made a very big difference in my life when I was feeling very down and unwell. With her I was able to navigate interpersonal issues as well as heaps of paper forms, both which have been really useful to now know how to do.”
