Welcome to the Miramar and Maupuia Community Centre, the heart of Te Motu Kairangi/the Miramar Peninsula. We are also the head of the local community newsletter Pānui Te Motu Kairangi. Read it on our website. Our centre is a living thriving hub for free, koha or low-cost services, groups and activities, exercise classes, food services, gardening bees and workshops, various useful courses, tamariki and rangatahi activities, community events, and more. We are always excited to hear your ideas of what’s wanted & needed in our hapori. We have funding, resources and knowledge to support your ideas to come to life. Come and have a cuppa, say kia ora or bring the whānau along to the playground, grassy area, and māra kai (vege garden) out the back. The Centre is available for hire for one-off and regular bookings - for more information, please see our website or contact Grant, our booking manager via email or phone.

Miramar & Maupuia — here’s something special happening in our wider Wellington community!

We love supporting events that bring people together, celebrate our city and make a difference — and Open Wellington is doing all three.

On Saturday14 November, some of Wellington’s most beautiful homes and gardens will open their doors for one day only — from historic gems to architect-designed masterpieces.

And the best part?

100% of every ticket sale goes to support the Wellington City Mission, helping people and whānau across Wellington with housing, food and community services.

Last year alone, the Mission:
- Served 32,966 hot meals
- Supported 4,703 people through Community Services and Financial Mentoring
- Provided social supermarket support to 6,283 individuals and families

Early Bird tickets are $119 + GST + booking fees for a limited time.

So, if you enjoy beautiful homes, gardens, a little Wellington inspiration — and supporting a great cause — this could be a lovely day out.

Find out more: www.openwellington.nz

Please share with your whānau, friends and neighbours and help us spread the word!

Miramar & Maupuia Community Centre is proud to support our community partners and help get behind the mahi of Wellington City Mission.
