🌱✨ What a beautiful morning in the māra!

Today we uplifted one of our kūmara beds, and what a harvest it was — a large bucket full of kūmara to smile about. Seeing the fruits of many hands, patience, and care come together is always a reminder that good things take time to grow.

Alongside our kūmara, we also gathered a half pile of spuds that will make a welcome addition to our upcoming Matariki lunch. There is something special about sharing kai that has been grown right here in our community, from our soil to our table.

As we move towards Matariki, moments like these remind us to celebrate abundance, reflect on the season gone by, and give thanks for the people who help make these harvests possible.

"He kai kei aku ringa" – There is food at the end of my hands.

Ngā mihi to everyone who has helped tend the māra throughout the season. Together, we continue to grow more than kai — we grow connection, learning, and community. 💚🥔🍠

Thank you to our composting Queen and King, we now have a turned pile and much to compost over.
