United in Solidarity: A Gathering for India

📍 *Location:* High Commission of India, 72 Pipitea Street, Thorndon, Wellington
Greetings, Wellington Indians! 🌟 United Indian Kiwis invites you to a peaceful gathering to show our solidarity with India during these challenging times of separatist movements. Here’s everything you need to know:
1. *Parking and Transportation:* Parking is limited. An attached image shows a map of key parking spots nearby, especially the Sky Stadium carpark. We recommend carpooling or using public transportation if possible.
2. *Location and Start Time:* The gathering begins at 11 AM till 1 PM in front of the High Commission of India at 72 Pipitea Street, Thorndon, Wellington.
3. *Volunteer Assistance:* Volunteers wearing Hi-Vis will be present to guide you. Please follow their instructions and seek assistance from them in case of an emergency.
4. *Safety Provisions:* A first aid kit and trained first aid personnel will be available to assist if needed.
5. *Purpose:* We stand in solidarity with India and the Indian diaspora in Aotearoa New Zealand, promoting unity, peace, and respect for all cultures while opposing hate and divisiveness.
6. *Participation:* We encourage everyone to be visible, vocal, and respectful throughout the gathering.
7. *Flags:* A limited number of Indian 🇮🇳 and New Zealand 🇳🇿 flags with sticks will be available. Feel free to bring your own flags to maximize participation.
8. *Personal Responsibilities:*
1. Bring your own water bottles.
2. Dress appropriately for the weather.
3. Apply sunscreen as needed.
4. Arrange your own food, especially for children—please be mindful of their needs.
5. If you feel unwell or exhibit flu or COVID symptoms, kindly stay away for the safety of all attendees.
6. If you have medical conditions (e.g., BP, diabetes), ensure you bring your medication.
7. Follow the instructions of wardens in case of emergencies like fire or earthquakes.
8. Familiarize yourself with the location of nearby toilets.
9. Be cautious around moving traffic.
10. Use common sense and remain alert.
9. *Clean-Up Responsibility:* We kindly ask everyone to keep the site clean and use the rubbish bins for any waste disposal before leaving.
10. *Dispersal:* After the completion of the event, please disperse in an orderly manner and be considerate to others.
