Today, our hearts are heavy.

The tragic incident involving Flight AI 171 has shaken not only the families directly affected, but the entire Indian diaspora across the world. So many dreams, lives, and journeys cut short too soon. We at United Indian Kiwis extend our deepest condolences to all the families who are mourning unimaginable loss.

💔 We grieve with you.
💪 We stand with you.
🤝 And as one united community, we will carry the strength of our shared love, culture, and humanity through this dark time.

Let this moment remind us how deeply connected we are — no matter where we live, what language we speak, or which path we follow. Unity is our strength, and together, we will continue to support, uplift, and care for one another.

To our Indian brothers and sisters everywhere — stay strong, hold your loved ones close, and never forget: We are one. We are united.

🕊️ Om Shanti | Peace | ਸਾਂਤਿ | امن | શાંતિ | শান্তি 🕊️

The Tricolour is sacred to all people of India and of Indian origin. It is a symbol of the "United" and "Secular" Republic that we call India. Democracy celebrates individual and collective rights. But the purpose of democracy is to promote peace and unity. Recent events around the world including ones on our homeland New Zealand (Aotearoa) have put this very fabric of unity and peace under threat. As the Indian diaspora in New Zealand we stand in UNITY and Support for our motherland and are proud to fly her flag. Join us on Sunday 17th November at 11 AM outside India in New Zealand (High Commission of India, Wellington) Wellington to stand in solidarity.
Jai Hind!
