Composer Julian Raphael and community group ACTIVE will present a new work, We’re Gonna Get Along, in concert on Saturday 27 May. The song cycle was composed by Raphael as the 2016 SOUNZ Community Commission for the young people’s singing group.

BRING IN YOUR UNWANTED ART SUPPLIES!

We are teaming up with Alpha Art Studio and Gallery - an awesome service for creative adults with intellectual disabilities who are creating wonderful artworks in their Cuba Street studio.
They are running extremely low on art supplies & are operating with limited funding, and we want to help them replenish their stock for at least the next year. Can you help us help them?

Just bring in your neglected art supplies, maybe you tried out a new medium and it wasn’t your thing, don’t let it go to waste - Alpha Art Studio and Gallery will put it to good use. And you will get a 10% discount on full priced items from us if you want to freshen up your own supplies!

We are looking for gently used, nice quality supplies - especially these:

Paints (especially Acrylics)
Blank Canvas
Markers (especially paint markers)
Pastels & Crayons
Gesso or Bulk lots of White paints
Varnish (Spray Varnish, gloss varnish or matte varnish)
Nice unused paper
Brushes (in good condition, they need lots of these in bigger sizes too!)
Sculpting supplies

But if you have any other quality art supplies you think Alpha would enjoy using, bring em in.
We will have a donation box near the counter for two weeks starting today, gather up your supplies, let your arty mates know & lets set Alpha Art Studio and Gallery up for as long as we can!

Also keep an eye out for an art fundraiser on Trademe to raise funds for Alpha.

We had heaps of fun today with this awesome opportunity! We got to try out the boats and even steer them around the harbour. What a great day! We can't wait to be able to do this again soon.

New Year - New project! Our friends from Yoga Rhapsody created a fundraising page to help us with our yoga skills! It would be great if you could help us to share this great project, check it out and if you can "give a little"!
