🚀 Big news for TEDxWellington – and we couldn’t be more excited! 🎉

At our recent community gathering, we shared some exciting plans for the future of TEDx events in Wellington. Here’s the scoop:

✨ A New Chapter in Leadership
Tania will be stepping up as our new licensee, taking over from Alex, as part of our sustainable leadership model. Don’t worry – the dream team of Tania, Alex, and Ciaran will continue to co-organise and bring these incredible events to life.

📅 TEDxWellington Every Two Years
To give ourselves the time and space to deliver the extraordinary events you know and love, TEDxWellington will now happen every two years. Our last event in April 2024 was unforgettable, and we’re already excited about what’s coming in 2026.

🎥 Something New for the ‘In-Between’ Years
We’re not sitting still! In 2025, we’ll be using the TEDxStudio licence to produce a series of videos that celebrate Wellington’s best ideas. The beauty of this format? We can shoot on location across our stunning city and add animations or visuals to bring those ideas to life in a whole new way.

We’re so excited about this next chapter – creating space to celebrate local ideas, support sustainable events, and keep delivering amazing TEDx experiences.

Wellington, we can’t wait to share what’s coming next with you. Stay tuned and let’s keep spreading great ideas together! 💡
