We're a not-for-profit Wellington-based babywearing group spreading the babywearing love around Wellington.

We’re a non profit Wellington-based babywearing group hoping to spread the babywearing love around the greater Wellington region. We hold a free slingmeet once a month where you can come along to find out about babywearing, get help with choosing and using various carriers, or simply chat with like-minded people. Join us at Trinity Union Church Hall in Newton on the first Friday of every month fro

m 10am – 11:30 am. At a slingmeet, you can also hire carriers from our comprehensive library. This means that you can try-before-you-buy to be sure the carrier suits you and your baby.

Whether you’re brand new to babywearing, feeling a bit stuck with fit, or just keen to try something different, come along for a relaxed, supportive session. We’ll have our full carrier library with us to try on, and our experienced volunteers will be there to help with fit checks for any carriers you already own too.

Reminder we are at our new location Johnsonville Community Centre💛 (Room 4)
Whether you’re brand new to babywearing, feeling a bit stuck with fit, or just keen to try something different, come along for a relaxed, supportive session. We’ll have our full carrier library with us to try on, and our experienced volunteers will be there to help with fit checks for any carriers you already own too.

Happy New Year everyone!
We are organising our first meet date and location for the year, this is likely to be Feb 13th.

If you have a current hire we will be in touch and extend these out for you.

We will have a safety briefing and demo of our different carrier types at 10.30am - a great way to see carriers in action that you may not have considered.

We are at the Johnsonville Plunket Rooms, if you are lucky enough to get a park onsite please ensure you leave the nurse parks available.
See you there!

This is our last meet for 2025 and we don't meet in Jan as we use that time to wash and sort our carriers.

We are at the Trinity Union Church Hall in Newtown, there is some parking off of Hall Ave or you can walk through the Trinity Union Church shopping centre and come up the steps.
