🤠 Think you can tell the biggest lie in town? Prove it! 🤠

Get ready for wild exaggerations, hilarious fabrications, and stories so ridiculous you’ll have to hear them to believe them. It’s Tall Tales Night at Peninsula Presenters Toastmasters!

A Tall Tale starts with a tiny grain of truth and spirals into a wildly funny, larger-than-life story. Whether you want to take the stage to spin your own yarn or just sit back, laugh, and try to spot where the truth ends and the wild imagination begins, you’re invited!

📅 When: 7pm - 9:15 pm, Monday, August 31.
📍 Where: at St. Aidan's Church Hall, 89 Miramar Avenue.

🌟 What an insightful Toastmasters meeting!
With our theme centered around Gratitude, we left the evening feeling deeply thankful for such a wonderful session.

A big congratulations to our speakers and contributors tonight:
✨Alex – Huge shoutout for delivering her Icebreaker speech! Everyone thoroughly enjoyed getting to know you better.
✨Nicola – Great job on your Table Topics response! We loved hearing about your gratefulness for your university memories.
✨Lisa – Thank you for your inspiring speech reminding us that rejection is often just redirection to a better path.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for such an uplifting evening! We can’t wait to see you all again in two weeks.

As the stars rise, it’s time for our Toastmasters whānau to pause, step away from the lectern, and take a well-deserved break from everything. 🛋️

We wish you and your families a peaceful long weekend filled with warmth, laughter, and rest. No speeches, no timers - just time to completely unplug and recharge. 🌟

What a night! We braved the cold and dove straight into our theme of Duality, exploring life's funny contradictions - like genuinely loving the Toastmasters applause, but sometimes needing a little break from it!

It was an extra special evening as we gave a huge, warm welcome to our new Area Director, Hugh, and District Director, Katina.
It was fantastic having them join the fun, and the great energy continued right through to the end of the meeting, where we wrapped things up by celebrating a few of our awesome members with some well-deserved awards. 🏆

A massive thanks to everyone who came out, brought their unique perspectives, and shared plenty of laughs. Stay warm out there, and see you at the next one! 👋

Had such a wonderful evening celebrating our end-of-year Toastmasters party! 🥂 It was the perfect chance to slow down, share some delicious food, and enjoy great company with this amazing group.

The absolute highlight of the night was celebrating Chris, who officially marked an incredible 40 years with Toastmasters! 🎂🍰Hearing him speak about his experiences over the decades was truly inspiring and a powerful reminder of why we all show up to learn and grow together.
